Uneven Skin Tone
Liver spots, mottled brown patches and large freckles on the face and hands can mar your beauty. Uneven skin tone or hyperpigmentation tends to worsen with age. Hyperpigmentation is caused by the excessive production of melanin, a pigment found in the skin. This in turn results in darkening of the skin. In fact, it is one of the prominent signs of ageing.

Some of the common causes of an uneven skin tone, or hyperpigmentation are:
- Constant exposure to sunlight
- Increased hormone stimulation during pregnancy
- Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation due to scarring caused as a result of acne lesions or skin injury.

Treatment
Some of the common treatments for uneven skin tone include:
- Powerful skin lighteners, such as retinoic acid or hydroquinone
- Microdermabrasion
- Chemical peels
- Pulsed light therapy or laser treatments
- Using Skin bleaching creams that contain antioxidants (especially vitamin C), mulberry extract and niacinamide
